Iconic help make up the team behind the Great Britain Freestyle BMX Team, as they move towards the inclusion of Freestyle BMX in its first Olympics, at Tokyo 2020. Since becoming an Olympic sport, Rich works closely with British Cycling to build their strategic approach as they build a team to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.

 

Here are some of the key responsibilities within this consultancy;
– Lead and manage the development of a BMX Freestyle strategy that leads to high performance excellence
– Report and recommend strategic approach to senior leadership team
– Identify and implement high performance support plan to elite freestyle squad
– Establish, implement and monitor individual rider plans aligning with world class programme management
– Work with key industry stakeholders to ensure world class remote based programmes
– Support and build individual, holistic athlete development plans
– Work closely with key communications team to ensure relevant opportunities to promote the team and the programme
– Work alongside the British Cycling commercial team to raise the profile of Freestyle BMX across members, sponsors and industry stakeholders
– Act as the main point of contact for British Cycling across all matters relating to freestyle BMX, both internally and externally
